THE WIFT INDIA INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY CLOSED
For all our WIFT India student members we have a two-month internship summer program for students in their final year of media communication, arts or theatre.
We find them a production house to partner with for 2 months to help increase their skill,
knowledge, network and confidence as they look to step into the industry.
Selection is made on the basis an application process.
Student members will be informed by email when the application process reopens.
WHAT INTERNS SAY
BMCC Pune (Final year)
"The benefits I have enjoyed just by virtue of being a WIFT member are amazing. I got to know firsthand from Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti what filmmaking and writing is all about at the screenwriting workshop. Taking their advice of joining a production house to get started in the film line, I applied to all the big names in Bombay. Months of waiting with bated breath followed. I wished I had "connections" in high places to get my foot in the door. Turns out WIFT is all the connection you need. I applied to UTV through their internship programme and landed the job in a jiffy!
I am very happy and grateful to WIFT for the opportunities and exposure it has given me to the crux of the industry. It truly sets out to lend a helping hand to aspiring filmmakers. Thank You!”
GRAZING GOAT PRODUCTIONS
National College (Second year - BMM)
"My first interaction with WIFT was when Founder- President Petrina D’Rozario came to our college to give us an introduction to WIFT India. I was convinced that I wanted to be a part of this organization as it would take me one step closer to what I always wanted to do. I was very actively involved in all the amazing workshops that they conducted and each workshop taught me a lot. WIFT then called in for internship applications at the top firms in the industry and I got into Grazing Goat Pictures, indeed my dream job. It was because I am a WIFTian that I got this great opportunity and I am very grateful to the entire WIFT family and Ms. Petrina for all love and support, which was the main reason for my confidence and success.”
