Petrina D’Rozario, upon returning from New Zealand saw the need to have a networking and advisory platform like WIFT NZ to support women in the entertainment industry and hence started the journey to set up WIFT India in 2012 with the help of the founding advisory board:
Uma Dacunha, Ashvini Yardi, Anupama Chopra, Kiran Rao, Vandana Malik, Zarina Mehta Screwala, Jeroo Mulla, Sooni Taraporevala, Paromita Vohra, Madhushree Dutta and Riddhi Walia.
